A Life Once Lost (1:00 - 1:25) -
We came in just as they were playing their last song. Wasnt too bad, but I wasnt even near the crowd by this time.
All That Remains (1:30 - 1:55) -
Was never a fan of this band before, but I like them now. In the middle of their first song, a crowd of damn hardcore dancers had started so the lead singer called out, "If you wanna dance then get the fuck out of here!" That was fucking sweet, definitly a more memorable moment.
Mad Ball (2:00 - 2:25) -
Had never even heard of this band before, but they werent too bad. Band came complete with Badass Fatass Hawaiian Bassist Man.
High On Fire (2:30 - 2:55) -
What we heard was alright, but we decided it was time to go get some water.
Not my taste.
Strapping Young Lad (3:00 - 3:25) -
Ah, yes. Finally, a great band comes onstage. They really got the crowd going, so I finally able to get in the pit and have fun. To be honest I didnt know some of the songs they played, but I did know that they played Love? and Relentless. Amazing show.
Throwdown (3:30 - 3:55) -
The music was pretty cool, but what was coolest was when the lead singer went up and said "Turn around and look at those lazy fucks in the back. Now keep facing them, cause I want you to bring the fuckin pit to them. Now charge!". Nice.
Every Time I Die (4:00 - 4:25) -
Horrible. Moshpit was emo central, so I thought I'd jump in and get them some bruises.
Norma Jean (4:30 - 4:55) -
A mix between scremo and crapcore. So you know how that sounded. We didnt stick around for that...
GWAR (5:15 - 5:45) -
Not a huge fan of their music, but I do like it. The best thing about this though, was the show. They slayed Nazi Pope, beheaded George W. Bush, raped a Cave Troll, and ripped apart a Metal Slug-esque robot. They had blood spraying everywhere, along with turrets mounted on either side of the stage spraying green and blue die, so if you came out of there and your hands werent covered, people knew you werent throwin up the horns. Another cool thing was that it only rained during the GWAR show, so there were little pools of blood spread across the entire parking lot.
Chimaira (6:05 - 6:35) -
They played a couple songs I didnt know, because I havent listened to Chimaira in quite a while, but the ones I do remember them playing were Severed and a new song, Inside the Horror. Great show here.
Opeth (6:45 - 7:15) -
Oh the band I came for....
Their name was chanted until they started playing, "O-PETH, O-PETH!" it was awesome. Again I cant remember what the first song they played was, but I do remember they played The Grand Conjuration, from their new album Ghost Reveries, and a finale with Demon of The Fall. During a couple of the songs you could hear people saying stuff like "FUCKING AMAZING" and "HOLY SHIT" something I havent heard people do for a band up until now. I got up and screamed this one, and at the end, Peter tried to throw me his pick, but missed, as he was walking offstage he shrugged at me and winked, like "I tried."
Poison The Well (7:25 - 8:05) -
Ugh. Me and my friend decided it was time to go get something to eat, cause Clutch was on next, so we hoped eating would take up both sets.
Clutch (8:15 - 8:55) -
Well we happened to walk back on their last two songs, damn. Just as I thought, it was horrible. Why were they at a metal show again?
Unearth (9:05 - 9:35) -
Wasnt a huge fan of Unearth before, but they put on a damn good show. Moshing was great for this band.
___________
So close to the headlining band, Lamb of God, when we get a call saying the train station is going to close soon. Fuck. So...
___________
Lamb of God (9:55 - 10: 45) -

___________
Well overall it was a damn good show, even if a couple bands brought it down a bit. I got to talk to the lead singer of All That Remains, as well as mosh with him. I also met the lead singer and guitarist of Madball. Ill definitly be going next year.
